Goals
We would like to encourage children and young people to read in order toa key prerequisite for education and access to the labor market. According to the 2018 PISA study, 20.7 percent of 15-year-olds in Germany have difficulties reading and writing.
It is also our concern to convey the joy of reading to children and young people.
Therefore, our integration and education center gUG offers a reading AG.
Participation is free!
In the reading group, volunteer adult reading mentors read children's books to the children for an hour.
This opens a door to children's books and children's literature for children that they might not find otherwise.
